I missed this last season archery,The fall before I bought a 12 ft portable stand, never got to use it!! I did set it up in the yard and shot a few arrows from it.I am now more interested in open water season. This is the first deer season I have missed in 48 years!!! After hunting that long it seems one doesnt get the fever till the season gets lots closer.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm.

My son-in-law and one of my nephews want to go back to doing bow hunting, because they have determined that it really isn't too safe around our deer camp during firearms season.
I don't know if I would have enough patience to be in a stand with the bow.

True it requires a lot more patients but the reward is a lot better.  Shooting a deer with a bow is 10 times better then a gun.

Last season I had to watch a deer walk around for a half hour before I got a shot.  Bow hunting helps with build patients which in return will help out your gun hunting success.

I always visit my spots about every other week all spring and summer,Armed with a camera.Just leisurely walk lookin at trails. It helps knowing where and what the deer do.

the best feeling about bow hunting is when you see the buck you have been waiting for all year. the worst feeling is when he never presents you with a shot that sucks. had it happen to me 3 times last year but the good news is he made it through rifle season and with the mild winter we have had i am sure i will get pics this summer of him. i hope
