This mild winter, the lack of snow depth and the low success rate in some areas should make of a good 2012 season.  And probably lots of road kills this summer.

its, winter, hasnt started yet, so lets not jump to conclussions! but your right tom this will definetly help the deer population.

but the ruffed grouse will need snow if the temps start falling into the deep freeze.

True, good for the deer, bad for the grouse.  The deer should have no problems finding food yet.
