Pearl and her grand daughter Barb Harris polkaed and waltzed the afternoon away in Richland Center to "The Jim Gorman Band" today.  The band was playing at The Ramada Inn in Richland Center today.  Watching the "young" ladies dance was Me, Anna Harris, Marjie Jurgensen and Brian McKnight. Pearl says you never forget your love for dance.  Pearl turned "97" in March.

Pearl Swiggum wrote for the Wisconsin State Journal for decades.  Pearl retired from writing at age 90.  She has 2 books out there.  The first was called "Stump Ridge Farm" and the second was "The Barn Came First"

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only polka lover on UMO Len. Pearl is living proof that dancing the polka keep's you young! The best part of driving through Wisconsin, beside's the scenery, is that you can always find some polka music on the radio. Gary Kuchenberger has become one of my favorite's. I went on his website and there he is! Wearing a chicken hat! I figured anybody wearing a chicken hat can't be all bad! laughing4 :laughing6:DIRTBALL2 bs
