Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre says he has no intention of coming out of retirement.

Favre said he was ''done with football'' when asked Wednesday if he might attempt another comeback. Favre, a spokesman for Wrangler jeans, met with employees at a Wrangler plant that was destroyed by recent tornadoes that devastated the region.

Favre signed autographs for members of the Hackleburg High School football team and Wrangler employees.

Favre, who last played in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, couldn't escape talking football. When he first stepped out of his vehicle, he was greeted by Marion County Commission President Don Barnwell, who asked him if he was going to play football this year.

As for the NFL lockout, Favre says he doesn't know if there ''would be any football'' this year.

Does that really shock anyone? He had a rough season and got beat up pretty bad. Favre had a great career. He will go down as one of the greatest QB's ever to play the game.

After last year I'm not sure any QB would want to come back with the beating he took. Now add on his age and there ya go. I have no doubt he could do another season but he would need and actual offensive line.

Its a shame that the VikeQueens don't have a defense that could exact that kind of punishment on opposing quarterbacks. Last year our defense looked like flower girls at a same sex marriage. And then our offense did such a wonderful job of protecting one of their own. I'm happy Brett has seen the light. Good for him.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

IMO, he should have never came back last year. I was glad to see him come back but he shouldn't have. I could see him doing OK behind an offensive line that actually got off there butts and gave him some protection but last year it was a free for all for any opposing defensive players looking to pad there Sack stats..
I think Brett was one of the greats no doubt about that. Its just to bad that his last year wasn't 2 years ago.

I couldn't imagine him coming back. Not here with the line we had setup last year. Course not sure how much of that was Chilly being worthless as well.

Farve retires and the league shuts down.....wow hahaha He had a great career and definitely wanted to play football but there is no way a body should take that kind of punishment repeatedly.

He might not be done just yet he and the Miami Dolphins have been talking.  Just when we thought the Farve saga was over it might still go for yet another season.
