Some predicted triple didget scoring losses for the combined totals....I guess that didn't happen.
A win by either would have been an upset.  All in all, the Vikes did ok.  The Gophers on the other hand, have been left with Brewsters mess and need a lot to get going.  Kill will need a lot of good recruiting, but I think he will go for intelligence so stupid plays aren't going to hurt them.  Smart sometimes can make up for talent, especially if the talent is borderline.
Ponder looked okay for a rookie going against one of the NFL's best.

I agree, ponder looked good.  Couple mistakes but every quarter back makes a few.  I was worried in the 3 rd quarter but I think the game went well overall, could've been better but oh well

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

I think today's game was the best all year! Love to see the vikes finally building on the future and playing Ponder!! I really think if the Vikes mold this guy like Green bay did Rogers we will have a super bowl Team in the next few year. Now if we can just keep the instant satisfaction guys from trading Ponder or pushing the old dried up guys to win the big show for the next year or so..............

I think this was a very good game for the Vikes. They didn't stop playing after halftime. Ponder did great for his first start. His first pass was great. They were in it until the end and that's, for this year anyway, all we can ask for. Allen continues to be a monster as well and AP had a great day at 175 yards. This game, I pin on the Defensive Backfield letting too much get by them.

As for the Gophers, I knew they would get killed.

I think the Vikings have found themselve's a real winner in Christian Ponder! Granted, he is a little rough around the edge's yet but given enough time and learning, he should turn out to be exactly what this team has badly needed. I thought he looked even more polished and ready to play than Tarkenton did when he first came out! GO VIKE's! :wav:DIRTBALL2 bs

The Packer's still eat yellow snow! blob1 blob8
