Well, no fish.  But I did win a hardwater tip-up, my grandson won some fishing line and some jigs and my son-in-law won some jigs and rattling spoons, so the trip was worth it.

No fish...had a good lunch, about 60 or so people showed up, not much to show for it.  Saw the big guy, but he was just hanging out.

Here is the only fish that was caught by our group.  Right when Andrew dropped the line in, he had a bite.  Nice size rock bass.

It must be catching cuz I'm also headed out to a fishing comtest this weekend on LOW. It's put on every year by Springsteel Resort and the Warroad Chamber of Commerce. They have some pretty nice prize's, none of which I will win I'm sure. Polaris has donated a kick-butt 4-wheeler! There is also an Ice Castle Fish House being given away. If I were to win it, I might just give it to swanni! :laughing6:Yeah right, as my grandson would say. They will also have a drawing every 15 minute's during the contest for a $100.00 bill! I've gone to a gazillion fishing contest's in my lifetime and during all those contest's I've only caught 2 fish! One was a dinky crappie at the Winter Festival contest on White Bear Lake. Not big enough to win anything. The other was a walleye I caught at the same contest I'm going to this weekend on LOW. Wonder of wonder's, it was the 3rd biggest caught which netted me $250.00! Of course I took that money right home and gave it to my wife! laughing4 laughing4 :laughing4:The reason I won that was because of a good tip I got from my fishing buddy! If anybody want's to know what the tip was you will have to PM me. Dammed if I will put it out here right in front of God and everyone else! I'm still kicking myself for not thinking of it myself, it was so simple! Well I hope everybody will wish me good luck! Yes! That does include you sparcw, ULT, and glenn57! laughing6 :wav:DIRTBALL2 bs

P.S. for swanni-Don't forget to use that little trick I showed you! Of course if you win anything big I'll expect my usual commission! laughing6 laughing6 laughing6
