Anybody interested in a New Years Eve day GTG on the east side of the Metro??
We could do tip-ups at White Bear by Belaire, Lake Jane or Bald Eagle. There are other fish to be had at those lakes also, except the sunnies at Jane are typical metro sunnies.    Any input would be appreciated.  Nothing big or fancy, but it's a Saturday afternoon and before any of the partiers start messing things up for driving.  Weather would be a factor and if it stays warm, it might end up open water.  I might even bust out some venison brats.                                                               Buckkiller is thinking about doing his Waconia GTG again at a later date.
I just thought that one on the east side would be more accomadating for some, or ya could do both.

well i dont know where you live but i have relatives who live on eagle lake in willmar and it takes about an hour and a half to get their from my house... so probably an hour 45 to lake waconia but BK should give you a better estimate.

Its not a bad drive,as long as there's no ice, snow and no drivin through the cities.I HATE drivin past 494.But the back way Co.Rd.22 from litchfield to hutch then Glenco is a nice scenic drive.

It looks like we have a tie between the 7th and the 21st so far....I'll run this until after Christmas and see what comes out of it.  Then we'll have to figure out which lake to do it on.
