I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

Jane is smaller...lots of northern and bass.  Some crappies and tiny sunnies.  Flagrunner and I have done tip-ups there several times.
White Bear gives you more options...some nice sunnies, smallies, walleyes, crappies and northerns.

ULT do yah know where the trees on a island are on Jane? In the 50s we had a friend building a house on the lake,SE corner just past the landing,If yah start from the east shore out maybe 30 yards is a dropoff angle a bit north and out bout a block should be the trees,Between those trees and the east shore was then a great spot for notherns and BIG bass.WE would row a boat out to the trees and tie off for nords.Bass were back on that first drop.

We've done most of our fishing just to the left of the access and had good luck.  The east end is usually real busy.  Did some on the west end in the shallows though.

I'm beginning to think the 7th might not work with all the warm weather.  Especially in the metro area.  Maybe the 23rd would be better.  Any ideas about putting it off??

Tom the 23rd is a Monday. The 21st I am out of town.

We could do the 7th or maybe the 14th on the chain. My tentative plan is to fish the chain on the 14th.

Okay....found out WBL has 8 inches...if the weather holds up, we will be there on the 7th out of Belaire.
Anybody that can make it great, if not, no hard feelings.  Maybe from about noon until 5 or 6.  If anybody want to get there sooner, great, and if some want to stay longer, that's okay too.  Hope to see some there.

Whats the usual catch at Belaire? I never fished out there in the winter? Tip-ups? Panfish?

I will have Mr.Fish plus 2 others with me. I will try to be get there by noon if not before. I will bring a small grill since hot food is always nice.

We have caught sunnies, crappies, bass, small mouth, northerns, and then sometimes only perch.  Even an occasional muskie on tip-ups.

For those that do come out I have some hats and some Thorne Bros discount cards. Depending on how many come will depend on what you get. I have a few of each. I'm gonna dig around and see what else I have laying around from sponsors and such. So make sure to make it out for a great time.

I saw Mike mentioned a grill, what are we planning on having?
