We had a nice showing today. I'll upload the pictures I took later. Andrew had a good time and is very happy with his new fishing rod. Now Grandpa has to take him out again!!! It was nice meeting the group and putting faces with the names. I hope everybody did better then me. Oldfisher can attest to my lack of success when it comes to fishing.

Oldfisher and his grandson Gavin. Another one of Oldfisher and Gavin Ult's Grandson Andrew and his prize. The boy is so happy with it. Andrew and his prize winning fish. Mrfish1991 caught a crappie. Drilling a hole for a tip-up. When the gang arrived. Another picture. Saying "hi" to Shane, Most of the group that showed up. Sorry for the quality or lack of on the pictures. I am really out of touch with using a camera lately.

Things really started to heat up after every one left. We moved our houses out into a little bit deeper water and started catching crappies right away. I probably picked up 6 or 7 more.
Unfortunatly as we were moving one of the houses, one of my rods went for a swim and we wern't able to retrieve it...thats just how it goes some days.

I wouldnt say it was fast action but a few here and there. A few of the gills were decent sized. As hard as I tried I couldnt get Pam hooked into one.
My best crappie for the evening was about 10". One gill was almost 9".

Always a great time when you get out with others. One thing I've loved about forums is the get togethers. Meeting each other and fishing is always a plus.

Buckkiller usually tries to have one on Waconia in February. If we still have ice. We had a good showing last year. Not too many fish though.

Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm.

This outing taught me one thing with my woman- bring peppermint liquor to keep her happy if the bite is slow.
