The thing is that no matter the date or location there will be people that can't make that date or don't like the location.  protest .  So people will have to drive and hour or four hours. It going to be impossible to make everyone happy. This is the problem with GTG .

I agree, I say just pick a date, and location who ever wants to come can come

Figure 3 - 3 1/2 hrs for us, but still plan on getting there.  You getting rooms at the lodge (group rate)?  Or do we need to make our own arrangements?

Not sure yet FNF, I would like to see it go with getting a group rate and some rooms for those that want to stay. It's over two hours from the cities as well so would be nice to stay one night and hang out with all you folks!

I've fished Clear Lake in the summer. Haven't in a couple of years but had some nice crappies in it for sure. They still there and is the ice fishin good? I would be up for that for the kids anytime!!

Yep and Yep! The ice fishing is as good as open water fishing on Clear usually. It just depends on the weather?

I thought I heard the "bullheads" have increased greatly on that lake. It has been a few years since I fished it and that was open water, but I like the idea.  Maybe Waconia.

When we do a kids get together all are welcome. Bring the kids you know if you don't have a kid to bring I'm sure there will be kids to help out. Help drill holes, help them fish, etc and fish yourself. The main idea to a Kids Get Together is to get kids more interested in the outdoors but the adults usually have a great time as well.

Ill most likely get one going on waconia since thats like the only lake in the metro I know better then the back of my own hand.  Watch the metro forum for information when I decide when I can get it going...have to wait til I know the ice is safe and the fish are bitting.
Logged

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?
