Decided to head out for a couple hours after work today to chase some eyes. Got down there around 4, and while were marking a lot of fish right away it took us a little bit to get the bite dialed in. Britt was able to get the bite figured out quicker than I was (what else is new?). She quickly started picking up smaller walleyes on a 1/8 oz jig and a Watsit Grub. While I was using a 1/8 oz Lindy Jig with a crappie minnow. Lots of different species caught tonight, everything from catfish to walleyes to even eelpout. Apparently we have eelpout in St. Cloud, who knew?

Lots of smaller fish caught with a few nice cats mixed in, but the highlight of the night came just as we were getting ready to pack up. Had a large mark show up 4 feet off the bottom on my Marcum, reeled up above it and 'thwack' it was game on. The fact that it was suspended and the way it fought had me thinking catfish the whole way up. Britt was next to me to help land it and she tells me it was a walleye. I didnt believe here until I saw the head start creeping up the hole. Great way to end the night with a pig of a walleye. Sorry aboot the crappy photos but only brought the cell phone with:
