Limit Creek Rod Company is based in Hudson, Wisconsin, a river town located on the Federally-designated National Scenic Saint Croix Riverway. “The Croix,” as the locals call her, has two sides: one with skinny and fast flowing waters characterized by islands of sand and stretches of rocky bottom. The other is a wide and deep slow moving river with big fish cruising the bottom.

Our designs reflect that we fish both sides of the river. On the shallow and fast moving waters floating in the jon boat or canoe, where space is limited, we offer two all purpose rods for the angler who wants a rod which performs many presentations well.

So after the morning moves on and the sun gets a little high in the sky, the great top water action for smallmouth bass slows, and you want to jig up a few walleye for the fish fry, no need to grab a different rod just tie on a different lure. We’ve got two all purpose workhorses for you: a spinning and a casting rod.

On the deeper section of the river a guy can fish for walleye all day, but versatility, the ability to go from one technique to an other quickly, is still very important. For the walleye enthusiast we took the same all purpose approach and made a walleye rod that will more than handle all finesse presentations for ol’ marble eye. Plus a new prototype (coming soon) for the tournament walleye anglers that will increase your hook ups and maximize your line spread to cover more area.

These rods are sensitive enough to feel the subtle tap of a walleye, yet durable enough to land that rogue flathead catfish prowling the river-just play your drag right. These rods will tackle all freshwater fish they are intended to, so don't just leave them in the jon boat, bring em' to the lake.
