But will not bite, we have seen walleyes with our underwater camera everywhere from five feet of water to the deep 30+ areas. Have tried many different techniques but they just wont feed. I think there is currently way to many baitfish out there for them to eat!!! Has anyone else been having this problem on Waconia or give me at least   "Ive got them to bite statement."" So I don't give up on them. On a side note the drum are really smacking and we are finding sunfish on beds.

Have you tried jigging plastics at all? Early in the spring when the eyes weren't going on live bait we starting jigging plastics and man they would smack it.

My favorite walleye plastics come from Dean's Tacklebox.

The Firecracker-Chartreuse paddle tails is by far my favorite.

It pains me to say it but I have yet to catch a walleye on Waconia this year.  Granted I've only tried a half dozen times but still.

Sheephead are going strong tho, they add some excitement to the trip.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

Five pound pike last night and a few gills that we had for lunch today!!!   Walleyes again on the breaklines but wont eat anything. Way to many shiners down there. Saw tons of clouds right next to the eyes using the camera and I wonder why they wont bite!!!!
