Who's gonna be there?  Is getting close and I wanted to remind people

It is going to be an all day thing on waconia lake (come and go as you wish) march 13th.  Ill probably be out there around 9ish and stay as long as everyone else.

Does anyone need directions?

If you want my number PM me.

Still unsure about where on the lake I want to have it.  Ill know by the weekend before.

Also, is anyone bringing anything?  Ill probably bring out a fire ring and some wood.  And possibly my fishhouse

I should be able to make this. I have a lot of things going on in my family now so no promises at all. That's a lake I've always wanted to fish though and hear the late ice bite is great.

oh and also EVERY IS ENCOURAGED TO BRING FRIENDS, FAMILY, SPOUSES, KIDS,NEIGHBORS, EXT. more the marrier

the ice Will still be fine, there is about 27 inches of solid good ice and unless it gets into the 90's the in march driving on will be no problem

Please reply if you are bringing kids. I have a couple of ice rods that have children's names on them. If you bring kids we will hold a drawing for ice rods to get the kids.

That weekend appears to be fairly busy. Everyone's birthday parties that weekend. I will try to make it out for a bit.

If anyone wants to carpool from the south central metro let me know.

I will try to be there. I'd be more definitive if I had someone to car pool and share gas costs with. Cash is a bit slim for another few weeks til landscaping season starts. Its also a weekend filled with birthday events for friends both friday and saturday night. Then the following few weekends booked a month ago. Next weekend would be far easier.

Rui, we could carpool if you want. Use my shack for the day. With the long range forecast saying the temps will holld in the 40's thru next week, we should need to worry about shacks.

ice was getting sloppy but still in good shape.  ill keep an eye on it until next week.  Suppose to be warm all week but we should still be okay tho.

I think we will just have it in the bay (in front on In towne/ tennis courts, if you need directions let me know),  its close to the access incase any of you wanna use a four wheeler or walk out...but im hoping thats not gonna be an issue.

I am still planning on it. Lets hope the ice stays good. I can also do the grill thing, if you all wish. Brats and burgers and HOT DOGS FOR GLENN.

Out front of In Towne might be a good idea.  Good sunfish local.   That ice can get spooky and I have gone through partially at this time of year. Just SW of the island a bit. Once I got free I boogied into ashore quickly.

Cmon I need a grill helper.

ULT not hard to get to. Go out HWY 5 and turn at the Dance hall or what ever that is and make a left at the lake and follow around  to the south. I know it is off ELM ST and Lake St.

I'll take ya up on that Jeff. Let me know what time you plan on heading out. I'll probably bring out some goodies for folks that show up as well. See what I have anyway.

Sounds good Jeff.

Anyone checking the ice out there before the GTG? Just curious what this rain is doing to the ice.

I just called InTowne . It is a marina on the south side, and a good entrance onto the lake. I got a recording and they are closed for the season, so I was not able to get a road or ice condition report.  Anybody else closer or has been out .
