The trout fishing continues to be very hit or miss. Some days ya bang em, my best has been 19, some days ya blank. Lately my best luck has been a green glow slick jig with a big Bill Dance Dancin Tube.

Although I have gotten a few to go on the bugs and the fatboys.

Most mornings are good for a couple of fish and enough lost fish to keep ya angry at them.

I would suggest trying trout through the ice if you want to try something new. Its a blast even if you one catch one or two. They fight hard. Remind me of a smallie in the summer on light line.

I agree, trout are a blast through the ice. Are you finding them around here Chris or going north?

Pardon the ignorance, but is that thing on the right in your first picture a heater? Can't say I've ever seen one like that.

Its an old coleman focus 5 with a broken wire piece thats supposed
to turn red. Its about twenty years old. I rarely use a heater with my snowsuit. Maybe twice so far this year. With exceptions of the kids.

I've got an old Coleman, a little smaller, that works great in my small portable.  The part where the flame comes out died, so I used a gas can cover with holes drilled in it, work fine.  It is about 20 years old also, and they don't have the same kind any more.
