We picked up 30ish eyes last night trolling stickbaits on the rocks in 8 to 12ft of water. Mark got big fish of the night at 28". Many fish in that 21" to 23" range.

Great job  icon_thumleft

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

that's something that would be fun to do right now as it is real close to a full moon and one could still see what your doing and where your trolling.Good job.

My best friend, Glen Erbe, and I started night fishing on Mille Lacs over 30 year's ago when no one else was doing it. What a bonanza it was! 75 to 100 fish night's were fairly common! The only fish we kept were just enough for our dinner. All other's were released! We would start fishing about the time it got darker than the inside of a cow! We would usually troll in 3 to 5 feet of water. Occasionally we would troll in none feet of water! This was easy to tell by the grinding noise Glen's boat would make when we ran into some rock's! sign12 toothy10 :laughing6:We outfitted Glen's boat with navigation light's only because the law said we had to. We usually fished for 4 to 5 hour's but would never see another boat out there! It is really surprising how well you can see after dark if you give yourself enough time for your night vision to develop. Even on night's when there was little or no moonlight. If you are thinking of trying some fishing after dark, try to take the least amount of gear along possible. If you plan on using any kind of light, make it a red one! Red light doesn't totally wipe out your night vision! Good luck and have a ball! :wav:DIRTBALL2 bs

Very nice Travis. Fall is a great time of year to troll to get fish in the boat.
