Oh Lord,
There he is.
Feels like a big one.
Please don't let me lose him.
I've never caught one this big before.
I'll try not to horse him.
And if I land him I promise to release him
And make a graphite replica...
If my wife says it okay.
Thank you for the Rapalas.
Amen.

The pics suck, camera wouldn't work, so I had to take pics with my I-phone.
I know this probably won't win but no one has posted any thing yet.
Length: 35 in long
Girth: 18 in
I don't know the weight but she was heavy.

She hit the bait before it sank all the way. I set up, dropped my line and boom she hit it. 10-15 seconds into fishing and had her on.
A great way to break in my new Two Rivers pike and lake trout rod.

Thanks everyone.
It's not the one I wanted, but hopefully i get it soon. It's quite larger than that one too, but at a different lake that hardly anyone fishes.
Funny thing is the lake I caught that one at, last summer Game and fish had asked divers to take out the 30 in plus fish to help the trout and artic char populations. I've talked to a few of the divers who go there and they told me that there aren't any over 25 inches left in there. I guess I was lucky.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

There were probably a few of those oil rich little trout in that things gut. Good old trout and salmon oil acting as a growth hormone for those pike.

Whisker has posted a lot of pike pics in the forum but forgot his sign. I figured I would add him anyway and let the members choose the winner.
