Most of the time on that carb its the fuel entrance screen cloged up.Is the auger running now? I bet I can talk you through the cleaning and if its apart you may as well kit it,if it hasn't been done for a while.A small inline filter on Walbro carbs is almost a must,Their screen is so fine its best to stop crud before it gets in the carb.
Send me your email and carb type I will guess its a Walbro wt4 I can send you a schematic of it.

After it started how did it run? Did you pull the top off and clean the fuel inlet screen? That screen is normally the culpret in a poor running engine.Where did you set the fuel mixture jets?

Is it a Walbro WT-4-1 the model number will be on the body of the carb.
Remove the top of the carb,You will see a round hole about 1/4 inch round, in there is a super fine screen take it out clean the crud off and reassemble. The engine should run great without and other adjustments. That of course is if you havent tried to adjust anything

Part # 55 here.Dont let the schematic confuse you,Its easy to get to that screen

If you cleaned that screen and didn't touch any adjustments,I would guess you need new diaphragms.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

Email the link the Mrfish (wyatt) he's running a 6" hand auger. It'd be a decent upgrade for him.
