Didn't want to take away from the Top Shot thread and it was heading that way so I figured I'd start a new thread. What are some of your favorite shows.

With shows like deadliest catch, pawn stars, American Pickers, and American chopper being mentioned (which I love) what are some of the others out there that you like? Tell a little about them and maybe get others interested.

Has anyone watched Gold Rush? To me this show is just a train wreck. I'm not sure if they will get enough gold or not but man they do everything wrong!!

Can't agree more that Discovery and History Channels are putting out some darn good stuff lately.  I enjoy watching just about every show that has been mentioned.  Top Shot, Deadliest Catch, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Gold Rush, Flying Wild Alaska and American Choppers.  Probably more that I'm not thinking of right now.

Yeah, I can't believe that those guys on Gold Rush haven't killed someone yet.  They have some decent people with good intentions, but not a lot of knowledge going into that venture.  Glad to see that one cry baby leave.  Can't remember his name, but he was a pansy...and his wife too.

As for network programming, I like NCIS, NCIS LA, Fringe, Mentalist, Bones, House and Lie to Me.

And you can't forget America's #1 Drunken, Male Chauvinistic Pig...Charlie Harper.  Get a lot of good laughs from Two and a Half Men.

I love Two and a Half Men. One of my favorites for network. Wife does most of the network watching. I like SVU, American Idol we also watch Big Love on HBO which is great.

Has anyone seen Sons Of Guns? That's an interesting show to see what they do to modify some of these guns.

Yep, add that one to the list as well.  The daughter in that show really knows her stuff.  Its a new show, but they have built some interesting stuff.

Some love him and some hate him, but I enjoy watching Glenn Beck on FOX.
I am addicted to 2 1/2 Men.
Can't remember the channel, but it is one of the educational ones and they show Untold Stories in the ER, always been interested in real medicine.  The Johns Hopkins series wasn't too bad, but they discontinued it.
The majority of the time, I am tuned to FOX news.
Of course my all time favorite which I really miss, "24".  Went through withdrawals when they ended.

One of my favorite shows but with Sheen gone I don't see it being any good as it was all centered around him.

I ain't made at him. Tell me one guy that, if he could, wouldn't make millions a year, go on a bender whenever you want and have two live in girlfriend in their 20's!!!!

Sheen is a rockstar in my book, not a role model but interesting to watch from a far. He was intervied and said he'd like John Stamos or Rob Lowe to finish the show.

I have always enjoyed the show, good writers, lots of laughs.  Yeah most guys would envy that type of life style.  That is until they get old and slow down.
I feel bad for the other actors who depend on the work and income.
It is like Charley can't handle the success and has a death wish.
Can't understand why his dad, family and REAL loved ones, haven't intervened, packed his ass up and shipped him off to a really hard core re-hab facility.
Those who are hanging around with him now don't give a crap about him, just looking to party, have a good time and let Charley pick up the tab.
It is terrible to say, but I am afraid one of these days, the headlines will say, Actor found dead in a motel room of an overdose.

Drugs do horrible things to people and you don't think straight. I've seen first hand with friends and others who have done this to themselves and without the money behind them. It rips you up.

I enjoy him for his entertainment and he made that show. There are thousands that do what he's done everyday but you don't hear that because they aren't famous and don't have their life in the news. He's messed up and needs help. I agree with RHW on his post and I'm sure either of those guys could do the show but it won't survive. I'm not too worried about the other actors on that show, they've made a lot of coin off of it so far.

Well I think the difference in that is we get to CHOOSE what we post and let out about our personal life. Everything these folks do gets out regardless if they want it to or not.

American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Swamp People, AxMen, Sons of Anarchy, The Ultimate Fighter, Deadliest Catch, American Chopper and Ice Road Truckers are all awesome shows. I also enjoy some of the shows on DIY Netowrk as well as HGTV as I like to watch them for ideas for my home/yard. I also like Trauma:Life in the ER and The First 48.
