Yes... I know we're just getting into the open water season, but it's never too early to start preparing for the next ice fishing season!

That being said, the date is set for the 7th Annual Portable Modification Get Together!!! ...

Date: Saturday, September 24
Location: Thorne Brothers - Blaine, MN
Times: 9am - 5pm (however the store will be open at 5:30am)

For anyone who has been to any one of these events in the past, I think it's safe to say it's a fun-filled day and everyone goes home happy!

A TON of companies in attendance and it officially kicks off the Ice Fishing Season!

Some things to expect…

- Check out modified portable fish houses
- Enter your modified portable fish house for a chance to win prizes
- Listen to excellent seminars from ice fishing professionals
- Enjoy food and snacks
- Go home with tons of prizes and giveaways from attending companies
- Partake in Ice fishing talk with fellow anglers and your favorite ice fishing companies
- DISCOUNTS on EVERYTHING in the store!!!
- ICE FISHING EXCITEMENT IN THE SUMMER!!!
- Plus more!!!

This means you might want to get out your portable fish houses and begin your modifications! We will make the prizes for 1st-3rd definitely worthwhile!!!

Stay tuned for more info and a list of companies who will be in attendance! Also, once the seminar schedule is set it will be posted here as well!

So, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 24 and see everyone there!

Current news pertaining to the event...

Frabill will be donating one of their NEW Recon Shuttle portable fish house systems as a prize for one of the top modifications!

So that means you better break out the portable fish houses and begin tricking them out! We will vote on the top 3 best/creative modifications and the top 3 prizes will be well worth the effort... as you can see from the first donated prize from Frabill listed above!  thumbsup

Have fun with it and stay tuned for more info...

One of my most favorite events. Last year I got to show off my kitty litter tourney box this year I get to particapate by sharing my knowledge of the great sport of ice fishing by hosting a seminar. I hope everyone of the umo followers come out to the event and hear what I have to say and particapate not only with the seminar but bring your ideas that you have for your portable to the show. As always you will not walk away empty handed. The sponsers are very generous for this event.
Come hear me share my knowledge with you and please share your knowledge with me, I would like that.

Yes Dave, I try to make this event every year. Great giveaways after each seminar, Vendors on hand to answer questions and you learn a lot about modding your portable. You also get to meet and talk to a lot of other ice fisherman and learn from them as well.

I generally have a UMO booth up there and will probably do that again this year.

I don't know that I'm doing a booth up there. I need to get concrete poured on my driveway and, with all the school I have, I haven't had much time to prepare anything. But I should be there for a few hours.

Saved from our tax returns to build a new retaining wall and I widened the driveway while I was at it. Just taken a while to get it all done.

But yea, 5 classes for 18 credits, 20 hours of work/study a week and getting the midgets to school and everything. Busy busy.
