The 1st Annual UMO Deer Hunting Challenge Is Here!!!

Brought to you by Upper Midwest Outdoors & Skins & Fins Taxidermy!

Scoring will be done by posting a picture on UMO in the "Deer Challeng Pictures" thread (Please keep that thread to pictures only. Post all coments here to keep it clean). The picture will need to include a print out of "Bambo", the UMO deer contest mascott (Right click on the picture above of Bambo and save or print it out. If you need it emailed to you let sandmannd know). Deer will be scored on Rack size & Uniqueness of the deer (drop tine, symmetrical, major non typical) stuff like that so that way if someone enters a 15 pointer that is a basket rack they do not win or say a big 8 pointer with a drop tine. We (BigWade & Skins and Fins) will narrow it down to maybe the top five deer and then we will post a pole so you folks can vote on the winner.

The deer needs to be cleaned up for the picture. No hanging from a tree or post & no tongue hanging out. Keep them clean family oriented pictures. Preferable no blood and gore stuff if it can be helped.

Skins & Fins has been awesome with this contest.

1st Prize Winner will receive a FREE Shoulder Mount!!!!!

Runner of the challenge will receive 50% off a shoulder mount.

Lee is also offering all who enter the challenge (even if you do not win and would like to have your deer mounted) $25 off your first mount!

Are you going to have T shirts for sale?

As a matter of fact, take a look at http://www.uppermidwestoutdoors.com/umo-store/umo-deer-hunting-challenge-logo-wear/ . They are up at the UMO store. Also, if you win the monthly drawing for T-shirts and Hats you can choose between the regular UMO wear or the new Deer Challenge Wear.

And no truck pics would be cool. Laying on the ground in your hunting area with the hunter and gun or bow of choice.

I agree that would be the best but I don't think we need to make that mandatory. I would prefer to see them in the hunting area for sure.

Yea guys, get your photos up. There had to be more bucks shot than this so far this year. This is a great contest, with a great prize.

Oh Lord,
There he is.
Feels like a big one.
Please don't let me lose him.
I've never caught one this big before.
I'll try not to horse him.
And if I land him I promise to release him
And make a graphite replica...
If my wife says it okay.
Thank you for the Rapalas.
Amen.

there wasn't anymore corn then any other year by us.  The weather was kinda crapy tho

Every deer my group shot was a buck.  Ill get on them to get pics up.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important but because so many other concerns of man are equally unimportant and not nearly as much fun.

Is it hunting season yet?

Yea, I think you might have to scalp it to actually find the buttons. Didn't know till I saw Wade playing with the Twig and Berries!  violent1
