Here's a 29" channel cat from today. Shot him drifting with the bow in about 5' of water. game fish are legal with bow n arrow after July 1st here,...and the steaks are going on the grill!

Here's this years archery paddlefish. I'll throw it in the contest for something new to look at!



Before I filled that tag I took a shot at one I saw rolling out the corner of my eye, (only saw the tail) and scored me a nice bonus fish!

Paddlefish is some of the best tasting fish you can eat! So are the bighead. Both are plankton filter feeders with VERY good firm white meat. Just as good as walleye and a close second to crappie.

Definitely would like to try paddlefish someday, have eaten sturgeon when a buddy speared one out of Winnebago and boy was that good!

Since I am a light eater, I'll just stick to a couple crappies. That'll leave all that other white meat for ya'll.

We went out trolling for Northerns today only caught 4. While trolling I caught an 8.5 inch crappie. Its not all that big, but thought I would share it.

Depending where it was caught, an 8.5 inchers in the some lakes is a decent crappie.  I always hate it when the wrong fish hits.. laughing4 laughing4

Went out for some bass last night. Beautiful evening, and the wind was down for a change. The fat lady ain't singing yet!!!

About 19" and "chunky". Caught on 10 inch green pumpkin power worm.
