I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'll put it in the area thats closest to it.

We arrived at Ash river Visitor center on Sunday about 9 am. We loaded up and headed out to find a campsite. Surprisingly enough we found a great site within 3 miles of the landing. N5 I believe it was "Day marker 23" in the narrows between Namakan and Kab. It had 4 tent pads, 2 bear lockers, 2 tables, privy and a dock. Nice site!

We got set up and got to fishing. The new slot is helping, as we caught many walleyes between 18-24" but the problem we had was finding fish we could keep to eat. We only managed 4 walleyes between 14-17". They were yummy tho! We also caught about 6 Saugers, but they were all 11-13" and too small to bother cleaning. Numerous Northerns and had one NICE one at 38 1/2". Several close to 30". Only one Smally about 14".

All in all it was a good trip. Weather was good on Monday, Tues we got wet, but then it cleared up and was beautiful for the late afternoon and evening and on Wed and Thur. Thur afternoon we had heard the forcast changed and called for rain all day today and Sat, so we packed it in yesterday afternoon and got home last night. I will try to get the pics on photobucket so I can get some posted on here. It was a great trip for some old Navy buddies to enjoy a memorial day holiday together and honor those who have fallen.

Photobucket is having issues right now, I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.
