I hear you and I'm not calling anyone out. We just need a way to make it "safe" for our members to say what they want and be who there are. That's what that board is meant for and it's unfair that others choose to "spy" and run back and get folks banned off another site. Childish if you ask me. We are trying to fix it to make it possible for those members who choose to, to go in there and have a good time.
I am open to ideas on how to do this. Couple of things I have thought up is that you have to have a minumum number of posts and maintain that.
Another is to make it a pay to get in site. But I'm not a fan of that idea.
We had the same issue on a flooring board I post at. What we did was have the people who want in the private areas reveal there real names at sign up for that area.
It seemed to work fairly well.
There's no real good way to keep the riff raff out.
Their just like friggen thieves they'll do anything to obtain what their after.
This is a great idea and I think it's exactly what I was trying to think off. Let me ponder it but I believe what we will do is ask folks that want in the "Hidden Boards" to give us their full name, address and numbers. This information will be given to NO ONE but the admins who run the site. It will be kept under wraps but it just may be the best way to keep the riffraff down to a minimum.
We here at UMO love the idea of letting folks be open and honest, let them have a place to vent, have a little adult fun and so forth. It's a shame a few have to ruin it for the masses. But with asking this information it's not going to cause anything I wouldn't think.
Here's the deal folks, here at UMO we want input from our members and we value it. This site is about you and for you. I will put up a pole shortly to see the direction you guys want this handled. Let me know if you have any other ideas, we'll run it by the members and then we'll go with what is going to work.
Sound fair?
